School s out and we re ready for all the laid back fun of summer time! I hope you re all planning on giving yourself and your family plenty of fun things to do and also plenty of time to relax. After all, summer only lasts a few months and it s sure to go by quickly. Whatever you do, DO NOT forget to take the camera along and catch those oh-so-cute grins and amazing adventures. Whether its backyard barbeques, camping and hiking or fun at the pool, you re sure to want to remember all of the great times with friends and family. Then, don t forget to get those pictures into your scrapbook with lots of journaling while you still remember all the fun details. I know it s a common mistake among scrapbookers to wait months or even years before the photos actually make it into the book. Unfortunately this leaves you plenty of time to forget all the meaningful details you want to have preserved right along with the photos. So, do your best to get scrapping and you re sure to come away with a beautiful and meaningful scrapbook you ll cherish forever. If you can t get to it right away, be sure to jot down some notes about your adventures. We d also like to wish all those men out there a very Happy Father s Day! Make sure not to forget those special men in your lives. Thanks guys! </td> </tr> <tr> <td> &nbsp; </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"> <a name="2" /> <img src="../common/n2.gif" width="29" height="27" /> </td> <td style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;"> <b>StoryTellers News:</b><br /> <br /> Since our last newsletter there have been several changes here at StoryTellers. We were sad to see Meagan go, but wish her the best of luck with all of her new and exciting adventures! Also, we re excited to welcome Nick, our new graphic artist! He s doing a fantastic job and we re glad to welcome him into the World s Best Scrapbooking Club. We re sure you will love all his hard work and talent as much as we do. We d also like to welcome Jen to the office. She s working with Kim in customer service and doing such a wonderful job. Jen is such a sweetheart as I m sure some of you have discovered while she has assisted you. As for the rest of us, we re just busy getting wonderful products designed, printed and put together to send out to all of our club members so you can be as excited about them as we are! <br /> <br /> As many of you already know, we spend a lot of time traveling around the country attending scrapbooking conventions. This month we ve already been to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas and we ll be going to the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, Virginia on the 20th-21st. We d love to see any members who will be attending the show, so make sure you stop by and say hello. Don t forget to let us know you re a member so you can receive your 15% discount on any purchases. </td> </tr> </table> <table width="590px"> <tr> <td> &nbsp; </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"> <a name="3" /> <img src="../common/n3.gif" width="29" height="27" /> </td> <td style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;"> <b>Monthly tip of the trade:</b><br /> <br /> <a href="https://secure.storytellersclub.com/login.asp" target="_blank"> <img src="images/dad-paper.jpg" align="right" border="0" width="243" height="250" /></a> Ever wonder what to do with double sided paper? One way to use both sides is make a straight cut from one side to the other, then flip one piece over so the back side faces up. Then you line the edges up right next to each other and sew them back together by putting double sided tape over the seam. Then cover the seam with a ribbon or border die-cut. I used to get 3 pieces of paper to do a double page layout so I could cut up one sheet to use the back side. Using this technique, you don t need to buy that third sheet and you still get to use both sides. Often times, double-sided paper has two complimentary patterns, and by using this fun trick, you get the look of using two papers without the expense, and it looks so cute! </td> </tr> </table> <table width="590px"> <tr> <td> &nbsp; </td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"> <a name="4" /> <img src="../common/n4.gif" width="29" height="27" /> </td> <td style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px;"> <b>Creative Expressions Workshop:</b><br /> <br /> For all of you who have not yet seen our monthly <a href="http://www.storytellersclub.com/NewsLetter/Tutorials/" target="_blank">Creative Expressions Workshop</a>, please go check it out.
