We hope you all had a great summer and spent lots of time making wonderful memories with friends and family. But, now that summer is over, it s back to work and school for many, and the time for vacations and barbeques is over. Whether you have children in school, you re in school yourself, or none of the above, fall is a great time to rework your schedule to give yourself a routine. Consider giving your life a little organizing overhaul. Perhaps you already have a schedule for yourself, allowing time for all the things you need, and of course all the things you want as well. But if you re like most of us, you have a hard time fitting in all those things on the to-do list, much less get a little time to relax and do something fun. So give yourself time to examine your busy schedules and create a routine for yourself that allows for alone time, project time, scrapbooking time, and all the things that seem to never get done without setting time aside. And remember, just because summer is gone, doesn t mean the fun has to stop. Good Luck!

StoryTellers News:

Here s our show schedule for the next few months:

<td width="31%" valign=top style='width:31.54%;border:none;border-bottom: solid black 1.0pt;mso-border-bottom-alt:solid black .5pt;padding:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; I love foam stamps. They re so easy and versatile. Just use acrylic paint (I use those little bottles from Wal-Mart or my craft store. They re only about $0.69 each.) applied to the stamp and gently press it to your paper. You can get different looks by adding more or less paint to the stamp. If you haven t used them, I suggest stamping on a scratch paper to get just the look you want before moving on to your layout. Clean up is easy too. Just use water and a little soap.

Have you ever read a lift the flap book with a young child? They absolutely love them! Why not apply the same principle to your scrapbook? To accomplish this, simply add a flap of plain or printed paper over a picture or other surprise. Adhere only on one side, so it creates a little flap to cover what s hiding underneath. It s easy to add a little ribbon or tab to the flap to make lifting the flap easier, as well as add cute detail to the page. Another picture or journaling on the flap is also a good idea if you need the space. A young child is sure to have all sorts of fun lifting flaps to find pictures of themselves, their pets, friends and family. You can cut your page protector around the flap so you can access and lift the flap once it s in your album.

Creative Expressions Workshop:

Alayna has done a great job again. The project for August is a darling little mini album with all the fun memories of summer time. Because she had more pictures she wanted to include, a CD with all the fun pictures from the summer s events was tucked into the album as well. What a great idea! This is a fun, simple project and would make a wonderful gift, so don t miss out on this one. Let s not forget all those who lost loved ones on that tragic day.

Other holidays this month are; Labor Day (first Monday) and Grandparent s Day (first Sunday after Labor Day).

Septem means seventh in Latin. So why is the ninth month called September you ask? It was originally the seventh month of the year.

In 1752, the British Empire adopted the Gregorian calendar. In the British Empire (which included present day America) that year, September 2 was immediately followed by September 14.

Autumn Equinox (the sun is directly over the equator) occurs in September anytime between the 21st and the 24th every year. This year, it occurs on the 22nd.

Member s Only Blowout Sale:

For this month's Members Only Sale, we're offering the February 2004 and June 2005 Seasonal packs.
